Below is a brief overview of my journey and lifelong commitment to health and wellness.
I grew up participating in gymnastics, color guard, and cheerleading. Despite being active, my eating habits were far from healthy. I frequently ate out, and my diet consisted largely of cheese, fried foods, and desserts. As a result, my weight and blood pressure were consistently elevated. After college, I began jogging as a way to maintain my health and believed that staying within a certain weight range was sufficient. However, by my late twenties, I realized that although I appeared “healthy” by the scale, I lacked the muscle tone I desired and carried excess body fat.
Through research and experience, I came to understand that true fitness requires more than cardiovascular exercise alone. I learned that proper nutrition and resistance training were essential to achieving a lean, toned physique and long-term health.
Now in my mid-60s, I continue to prioritize cardiovascular fitness while maintaining a clean, balanced diet and incorporating resistance training at least five days per week. The physical transformation has been remarkable, and the health benefits have been life-changing. My blood pressure has remained within a healthy range for the past 35+ years.
This journey led me to pursue my passion professionally by becoming a Wellness Coach, Certified Personal Trainer, Nutritionist, and more. I have now spent over 30 years in the fitness industry. My experience includes becoming a National Figure and Bikini Competitor, Competition Coach, Lifestyle Coach, OCB and NPC Judge, and motivational speaker. I am deeply committed to helping others achieve their health, wellness, fitness, and competitive goals.
